Let's explore your relationship with food.
I am located outside of Boston and have a virtual private practice. I'm licensed in many different states, so please inquire about working together regardless of where you are.
A weight-inclusive approach may be a refreshing way to honor your health and past experience. I practice with a Health at Every Size approach and am committed to size inclusivity. With a background in intuitive eating, my practice has grown to emphasize body liberation. Combining lived experience with evidence based science will allow us to honor health concerns without dieting, restriction or restraint.

As we work together, we will hold space for worries around weight and body image struggles, and we'll explore the impact our dieting culture has had on you. We'll identify behaviors to help you feel nourished, satisfied and supported, moving away from a restrictive and punitive perspective. If you're curious to learn more about this non-diet philosophy, I've written about my humble evolution as a dietitian here.

As we get to know each other during initial sessions, we'll discuss eating habits and exercise patterns, and your history with food rules, dieting and disordered eating. We'll work on identifying what's causing you to feel stressed around food. We will begin to explore food rules and beliefs, with the goal of working to let go of what's no longer serving you.

In follow-up sessions, we'll review the practice of self-care, self-compassion and radical acceptance. We will celebrate successes and explore challenging experiences further, continuing to hold space for where you are and what you're feeling. We'll get curious about your definition of health, and chat about how social determinants of health come into play. Throughout the process, we will use your knowledge and understanding of past experiences to help you nurture your mind and body. Together, we'll assess the amount of support and counseling structure that will benefit you the most.

Most importantly, your story will be met with compassion, empathy,
and entirely without judgment.
