Nutrition Coaching Services
As a non-diet dietitian, my practice focuses on exploring one's relationship to food and body to help enhance wellbeing and work toward healing. I am located in Los Angeles, but please do not hesitate to inquire about working together virtually.
Using a weight-inclusive approach, we will consider health-promoting habits, rather than emphasizing a specific size or weight. If you feel at all preoccupied with thoughts about food or body, this may be a refreshing way to honor your health and experience.
We'll explore concerns around weight and body image struggles and work to identify the impact of diet culture. We'll develop a self-care practice to support you and your healing. If you're curious to learn more about this non-diet philosophy, I've written about my humble evolution as a dietitian here.
Health conditions can be addressed without restriction or restraint. From high blood pressure, to irritable bowel syndrome, to diabetes, the non-diet approach is appropriate.
In our initial sessions, we will explore your relationship with food. We'll discuss eating habits and exercise patterns, and your history with food rules, dieting and disordered eating. We'll get curious about how you define health, and we'll work on identifying what's causing you to feel stressed around food. We will begin to explore food rules and beliefs, with the goal of working to let go of what's no longer serving you.
In follow-up sessions, we'll review the practice of self-care and self-compassion. We will celebrate successes and explore challenging experiences further. Throughout the process, we will use your knowledge and understanding of past experiences to help you nurture your mind and body. We will work together to assess the amount of support and structure that will benefit you the most. This process is a journey, and with a bit of curiosity,
there’s always more to discover.
Most importantly, your story will be met with compassion, empathy,
and entirely without judgment.
A 60-minute assessment to get to know each other better. We'll begin to explore your past experience, your medical history, and your relationship food and body image. We'll talk about what you hope to get out of our work together.
